Yesterday a tolerable 7'C. I am having to clear the Hazel Lane Site as Colin is haphazardly demolishing more of it.

Just before dusk, was out cutting back overhanging bushes and pruning in preparation for Spring.

Noticed the crocuses started appear and snowdrops about to burst forth during the day. Laughing

In the kitchen at the mo. Listening to Marie phaffing about, clattering and banging. I’m trying to pluck up courage to go and pack.

What’s the weather like where you are? We have Snow Devils in the garden at the mo. Rather like a Dust Devil but dry powdery snow instead of dust.

It's been snowing on and off here since 8.30am yesterday, not too heavy but we've got a few inches outside now. Our husky/malamute cross loves running around in it.

Went up to the unit in the X5 yesterday, it coped alright with the snow Very Happy

. Didn't bother today as the DO closed early so I couldn't have got the post out if I wanted to.

Schools closed yesterday through to tomorrow at least, most shops, including Tesco, closed early today.

Wednesday both Royal Mail and DPD cancelled their collections, so we left at 3:30. It took almost and hour and a quarter to get to the ASDA which is 2/3 of the way from work to home - normally takes 20 minutes.

Thursday morning woke up to a load of the stuff, early emails from the couriers and post said collections cancelled again, and then the estates office from the trading estate emailed to say they couldn't clear the roads because their own staff couldn't get in. Jamie totally snowed in because the snow has blown up his street and formed a metre high ridge across his drive.

Today we haven't had more snow overnight but none has cleared, so I've just put all the dispatch times up to 3 working days and put a message on the website.

To add to it, I'm having to use my laptop for everything as my main PC has no power protection and the mains has gone on and off at least 5 times in the last day.

No change since yesterday. There is a thin covering of snow and still very cold. I was going to Bournemouth for the weekend, but it will be more sensible to stay at home in the warm.

We had a load of rain overnight but it hasn't washed the snow away, I won't bother going to the unit again today.

Wind picked up yesterday evening as well which has caused damage on the coast.

If you ever watched The Coroner, there are some scenes where they are driving along a long straight road with a, idyllic shingle beach on one side - Torcross Line, it is known as locally (Neil may know it). This is how it looks this morning.
